Overview
The Patras Women's Association, an important charitable organization, needed a modern and functional digital presence that would highlight its work and facilitate the collection of donations. Web Nectus developed a custom WordPress website, offering a modern environment, the ability to make online donations via Stripe and bank transfer, as well as multilingual support (Greek - English). The project also includes sections for events and news, speed and security optimization through Cloudflare, effectively contributing to the organization's social mission.
Features that make a difference
For those who wish to contribute without selecting a specific action, we have incorporated a general donation button, which allows for flexible support of the Union. This feature ensures that even general donations are directed appropriately to meet the needs of the organization.
The website includes special donation forms for each charitable initiative undertaken by the Association. This allows visitors to choose specific projects they want to support, enhancing their interaction and trust in the organization. The forms are user-friendly, allowing for easy and secure donations.
The website includes comprehensive archives for both events and news, with a categorization and chronology system. Visitors can easily find information about past and future events, as well as read news about the Association. This feature improves transparency and consistency in the organization's communication.
The website is available in two languages: Greek and English. This enables the Association to reach an international audience and enhance its reputation beyond national borders. Navigating between languages is easy, with instant switching without losing the flow of the user experience.
We have implemented best SEO practices, both technically and organically, to ensure that the website is visible to search engines. Keyword optimization, proper use of metadata, and content organization based on SEO principles help increase traffic and attract new supporters.
We have taken care to transfer the existing content from the old website to the new platform. This process was carried out carefully, with the aim of preserving the authenticity of the content and the smooth user experience, while ensuring that older information remains accessible and up to date.

The Patras Women's Association, with its important work protecting and supporting women and vulnerable social groups, needed a revamped and efficient digital platform. The challenge was to create a modern website that would highlight its activities, facilitate donations to support its work, and be accessible to a wider audience, both in Greece and abroad.

Web Nectus undertook the construction of the website in WordPress, designing a modern look that reflects the seriousness and value of the organization's work. A key feature of the solution was the integration of donation capabilities, allowing users to contribute easily either through Stripe or by bank deposit. In order to provide information to a wider audience, the website was developed as bilingual (Greek - English). It includes special sections for promoting charitable activities, events, and news, keeping the public informed. In addition, to optimize performance and security, Cloudflare was integrated and PageSpeed optimization techniques were applied.
